Thank you so much for this reminder, Deanna C! H Thank you so much for this reminder, Deanna C!

Have you heard of our new "Lemon Drop Ministry"? Lemon drops attached to encouraging verses friends have sent me (just like this one). Those verses are now being shared to encourage others who are getting chemo at oncology clinics. Why lemon drops? Speaking from experience, chemo often causes people to get a “metal mouth” bad taste in their mouth that is helped by sucking on lemon drops. No doubt, cancer is a bad, “sour” diagnosis. However, just as lemon drops can alter the bad taste in one’s mouth, we who have cancer can choose to “taste and see that the Lord is good,” Psalm 34:8. We who have cancer don’t have to go through our days with a sour scowl on our face. Rather, we can live by the “sweet" Spirit of the Lord.

Have you ever looked for “life” in someone or Have you ever looked for “life” in someone or something apart from Jesus? Perhaps in your younger years you were “the life of the party.” Maybe in your adult years you bought into the idea that the right job, house, car, or person would bring you all you wanted in life. But, perhaps later you realized that things and people can disappoint and fall short of that for which we long.

If the temporal things of this world fail to provide true life or lasting fulfillment, then where or to whom can we turn? Jesus declared in John 14:6, “…’I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.’” This verse encourages us to turn to Jesus as the source of all life, both physical and spiritual.

Lord, You are the way, the truth, and the LIFE! We bow and worship You.

To learn more about Jesus as the gate to eternal life in heaven, watch Debbie’s teaching on John 14 on her YouTube channel! And let us know if you'd like to sign up for the 352 Days of Praise daily devotion.

Now, I have a question...
Are you having trouble resting? If so, here's a good question to ask yourself: What voices are you listening to?

What a blessing it is to distinguish our Good Shepherd's voice above all the other voices out there! You don't have to listen to the voices that spread fear, anxiety, accusations, or death...tune your ears to His voice and experience REST!

You're going to want to tune in to this full message: "John 10," found on Debbie's YouTube Channel. It's so full of wisdom and encouragement, straight from the Word of God!

We would love to cover you in prayer...just reach out and let us know how to stand with you, sister!

❤️ If you need a regular reminder of how much ❤️ If you need a regular reminder of how much God loves you, make sure you are following us here! ❤️

If you’re a runner or know someone who is, you understand the importance of removing anything that might slow you down. You’re also aware of how critical it is to stay focused while running and not get sidetracked by any distractions. You or someone you know has probably also experienced weariness at some point while running—maybe toward the end of a race, a marathon, or a high-mileage run.

Hebrews 12 draws a comparison between the Christian life and running a race. The chapter starts out by encouraging believers to throw off any hindrances, such as sin, that so easily entangles, and to run the race with perseverance. Hebrews 12:2 goes on to say, “…looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Jesus despised the shame of the cross, yet He suffered through it in order to not only give us a start in our Christian walk, but to also make sure that our faith is perfected, complete, and finished. You see, Jesus is not only the author or the source of our faith, but He also oversees, sustains, and completes the faith of those who trust in Him. Philippians 1:6 reminds us of this—“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

It is with tremendous gratitude each of us should look heavenward in praise of our Lord and thank Him—the author and finisher of our faith!

Lord Jesus, we praise You! We thank You that You are not only the author, but also the FINISHER OF OUR FAITH!

Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@debbietaylorwilliams) to be encouraged and pointed to Jesus every step of your journey.

God is saying, “Let’s Roll!” What exciteme God is saying, “Let’s Roll!”

What excitement must have filled the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, and what awe filled believers on that day when BOOM, the Holy Spirit filled them!

When we and our nation sin, are we mindful that Go When we and our nation sin, are we mindful that God sees us? The Bible clearly says that God sees us and that there are consequences to sin. Joel 2:11 says, “The day of the Lord is indeed great and very awesome. And who can endure it?” Joel 2:12-14a continues, “‘Yet, even now,’ declares the LORD, ‘Return to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, weeping and mourning; and tear your heart and not merely your garments.’ Now return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in mercy and relenting of catastrophe. Who knows, He might turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him…”

What is God’s response when we repent? Joel 2:18 says, “Then the Lord will be zealous for His land and will have pity on His people.” God is zealous for us. Why? He wants us to take hold of the joy, beauty, and glory of the abundant life He gives us in Christ Jesus.

What better time than now for our nation to repent? What better time than now for us to be zealous for Christ and live purposefully for Him? Return God’s zeal by praying more purposefully and living more passionately for Christ. Watch Debbie's YouTube video, Starting Strong, for a refresher. For daily (short and to the point) devotionals emailed to you daily, sign up for 365 Days of Praise on the website. We can't wait to connect!
