Thank You for Trusting Me with Your Body

“Thank you for trusting me with your body,” the massage therapist commented at the end of my session. His comment startled me and caused me to wonder if a neck massage could have turned into a snapped neck. The fact is we do trust our body to people: doctors, massage therapists, nutritionists. More importantly, we entrust our body to Christ or the devil. Yes, Jude 9 records that Michael, the archangel, disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses. The devil wanted Moses’ body. That is a horrifying thought. It is equally horrifying to realize the devil wants our body and soul. It begs an important question. To whom have you entrusted your body? “Meet Jesus.”

What’s Going to Happen

Do you ever wonder what in the world is going to happen?  Wars and rumors of war increase. Hostility, not peace, seems to be increasing.  If you’re concerned over the future, you’re not alone. But God doesn’t want us to be clueless. As a matter of fact, He gave Daniel a vision of future events. Daniel records in chapter 7, verses 21-22 that there will be a war and God’s saints will be overpowered until the One who is more powerful than any other, the highest one, Jesus, steps in. I wonder if you feel as I do – grateful, honored, and relieved to be on God’s side. And not only to be on His side, but to be called His saint. That is what’s going to happen one day. Be assured you are on the right side. Read the “Assurance of Salvation” verses.

If You Met Jesus in the Next Few Minutes

Do you “clean up” before something important? Maybe you have a job interview or are going to a wedding or meeting friends for dinner. Most likely you shower and put on clean clothes. You prepare for the person you’re meeting. One of Jesus’s beloved followers tells believers in 1 John 3:3 that we should prepare to meet Jesus. “Everyone who has this hope fixed on Him (Jesus) purifies himself, just as He is PURE.” Purifies himself?  What in the world does that mean? Hasn’t Jesus already made believers pure? Yes, Jesus cleanses us of our sins when we repent and confess Him as Lord.  But John makes an important point. Believers should guard against daily sin in anticipation of meeting Christ.  In other words, if we knew we were going to meet Jesus either by death or in the rapture, what might we do or not do?  The fact is we will soon meet the PURE Jesus Christ.  Click here for “Prayers for All Occasions” including prayers of confession and “Assurance of Salvation” verses.

Lord Jesus, You are the PURE risen Savior. Call to our minds how we might be more pure and therefore purify ourselves

The Hell of Not Knowing

It was “hell.” I’d returned from speaking at a church one night when I was a summer missionary during my college years. The evening had been wonderful – all one could want. The church was receptive. God’s Word shared with those attending. Then why did the thought return? The thought that haunted me at different times? The thought that scared the ever-lovin’ dickens out of me. “What if you’re not really a Christian, Debbie? What if when you die, you spend eternity in hell? What if you thought you were a Christian and you’re not? What if you are one of the people who do things in Jesus’s name but when you die, He looks at you and says, “I never knew you. Depart from Me.” (Matthew 7:23) Perhaps you’re a person who, like me, has at times doubted your salvation. If so and you want assurance, prayerfully repent of your sins. Turn in faith to Jesus. Call on Him, confessing Him as Lord and Savior. Read the Assurance of Salvation verses and “Meet Jesus” at to learn more.
