SHELTER

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High

Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”

Psalm 91:1

God is a shelter. From what does He shelter us? Snares. Things that trip us up. Fear. Enemies. Evil. How does He shelter us? He calls us to Himself.  Just as we might call a child in from a hailstorm, God calls to us, “Come to Me.” His Word shelters us from wayward thinking. His truths keep us on the safe path. His righteousness shelters us from falling for temptation. God is a shelter to the one who stays close to Him.

Lord God, thank You for being a SHELTER in the storms and temptations of life. I praise You!

*Today is a great day to reflect over last month’s attributes & also to record them in your Prayers of My Heart journal. As you do, spend time praising God for all He means to you.
