Praise our APOSTLE and High Priest
“Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession;”
“Help! Send help.” Have there been times you’ve called out those words? Maybe you were in a car accident. Or, a loved one may have been sick, and you called 911.
In like manner, but to an even greater degree, God sent Jesus to help –to save us. The writer to the Hebrews wants us to know that Jesus is God’s “APOSTLE,” which means, “one sent forth.” God sent Jesus to us to save us from our sins and to make a way for us to enter heaven.
Today is a good day to praise our Heavenly Father for hearing our cries for help and sending Jesus to us.
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus to save us from our sins. Jesus, APOSTLE and High Priest, thank You for all You’ve done to save us. We praise You!
