I can truly say there is no greater joy than knowing my Lord. When I was 17 and prayed Philippians 3:7-8, that I KNOW Christ and the POWER of HIS Resurrection, I had no idea God was setting me on a life long journey. However, that’s why today, 39 years later, my spirit still soars as if it were Christ’s and my first date.

As I read saiah 33 today, I circled in purple (which I always do) each of the ways in which the Lord reveals Himself. Celebrate with me!

Isaiah 33:

2 Gracious, Salvation

5 eXalted, Dwells on High, Justice, Righteousness

6 Stability of Your Times, Wealth of Salvation, Wisdom, and Knowledge

16 Impregnable Rock

17 King in Beauty

21 Majestic One

22 Judge, Lawgiver, King

24 Forgiver of My Iniquity

Go back and meditate on each of God’s depictions of Himself. Let me know which one most blesses or encourages you today. My favorite for today? Stability of Your Times. Is that not cool? As I read that depiction of God in Isaiah 33:6, my mind immediately raced to yesterday’s paper. “Lifeless Dow slides below 7000 points.” “Stock prices in the U.S. are at their lowest in 12 years as worldwide conditions worsen.”

Yes, friends, our economy may not be stable, BUT OUR GOD IS. All praise to Him! Can I hear a shout of “Amens” on that?

  1. I will give you a big, big AMEN on that. He truly is the stability of our times. He is the One we should fear…not being gripped by the fear that is entangling the rest of the world. He is to be our sanctuary….or He will become our stumbling stone….He truly is our only stability. Thank you….bless you…
