Good News for People with a Bad Taste In Their Mouth

04/25/2020

Have you ever had a “bad taste in your mouth” after experiencing something unpleasant? Many today would say, “yes.” Many are going through life with a “bad taste” in their mouth. They’re “fed up” with the news. They can’t “stomach” another …..whatever.  That’s where followers of Christ come in. Second Timothy 2:21 describes believers as vessels. As Christ’s vessel, we have the opportunity to “serve” the Lord’s love and Word to those who are spiritually hungry. Psalm 34:8 says, “O taste and see that the Lord is GOOD; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” Many are starving for some good in their lives. Will you serve Christ’s goodness, mercy, and love to them?  If you’re not sure how, Discovering His Passion will show you how Christ engaged people in spiritual conversations and how you can, too. Believe – Know Jesus as Savior is a link you can share in an email or text. God is GOOD. Let’s share the good news of His GOODNESS with others.

LORD, You are GOOD! Help us be ready vessels to share Your WORD and LOVE with others.

Am I Good Enough

01/27/2020

Have you ever wanted to approach someone to visit or discuss an issue, or maybe just to be near them, but felt the person was unapproachable?  Maybe you felt you weren’t good enough. Isn’t it incredible that our approaching God has nothing to do with our goodness? As a matter of fact, we’re not good enough to approach Holy God. Then, how do we get to Him? Psalm 65:4 NKJV explains. “Blessed is the man You choose, and cause to APPROACH You, that he may dwell in Your courts.” Our Heavenly Father is APPROACHABLE not because we’re good, but rather because Jesus opened the way for us to enter into His presence through Christ’s righteousness. GOD. APPROACHABLE. Grace. Learn more HERE.

LORD, thank You for being an APPROACHABLE GOD to whom we can come through the righteous blood of Christ.

Hey Buddy, Do We Have Enough Holy Reverence

01/21/2020

“Hey Buddy.” We’ve become quite chummy these days. Some parents even call their children, “buddy.” “Hey, buddy, get in the car.” We love to quote Matthew 11:19 that Jesus was a “friend of sinners.” But, let’s not forget that the Son of Man is now gloriously exalted and seated with His Father. Prayerfully visualize Daniel 7:9-10.

“I kept looking
Until thrones were set up,
And the Ancient of Days took His seat;
His vesture was like white snow
And the hair of His head like pure wool.
His throne was ablaze with flames,
Its wheels were a burning fire.
A river of fire was flowing
And coming out from before Him;
Thousands upon thousands were attending Him,
And myriads upon myriads were standing before Him;
The court sat,
And the books were opened.
And were presented before Him.”

The Son of Man may be our friend and God our Abba Father, but based on Scripture, “buddy” isn’t how God is portrayed. Do we have enough of a holy reverent fear of the Ancient of Days? Are we mindfully sharing our hope of heaven with those who may not know the path into His glorious presence?  If you could use a refresher on how to share Jesus with gentle boldness, get a copy of Discovering His Passion for a donation of any amount. Simply go to the DONATE page and on the page where it asks for your credit card, let us know in the “Additional Notes” area that you’d like a copy of Discovering His Passion. Thank you for your concern for other’s salvation. Luke 19:10

ANCIENT of DAYS, glorious One, holy Heavenly Father, forgive us when we act like You’re an earthly buddy. Quicken our hearts to honor You and to tell others about You.

Hey Buddy, Do We Have Enough Holy Fear

01/22/2019

LISTEN

“Hey Buddy.” We’ve become quite chummy these days. Some parents even call their children, “buddy.” “Hey, buddy, get in the car.” We love to quote Matthew 11:19 that Jesus was a “friend of sinners.” But, let’s not forget that the Son of Man is now gloriously exalted and seated with His Father. The Son of Man may be our friend and God our Abba Father, but “buddy” isn’t how I visualize God based on Scripture. Do we have enough of a holy reverent fear of the Ancient of Days? Praise to ONE WHO OPENS Our Lips

08/15/2018

“O LORD, open my lips, that my mouth may declare Your praise.”

   Psalm 51:15

Did your mother ever tell you, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all?” My mother did. Often, words of instruction center on telling us to keep our mouths closed so we don’t offend others or so we don’t speak out of anger. However, David, the psalmist, understood that our walk with God isn’t only about what we don’t say. It’s also about what we say.  We may get a gold star for not cussing. But do we get a gold star for praising God, encouraging others in their walk with Him, and sharing Christ with unbelievers? If not, perhaps we should recognize that God is the One to whom we can pray as David prayed, “LORD, open my lips, that my mouth may declare Your praise.”  That’s a good prayer to the ONE who can OPEN our lips, don’t you think?

LORD, You are powerful and able to OPEN OUR LIPS to praise and honor You. We pray You do so that we faithfully praise You and share Christ with others.

Do you want to praise God, but don’t really know how? If so, HERE’s  help..

Do you want to dig into the Word and learn from Jesus how to engage people in conversations about eternity and salvation? If so, HERE’s help.

Praise to GOD Who is GOOD

04/19/2018

“O taste and see that the Lord is GOOD; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!”

Psalm 34:8

Many people have never “tasted” the Lord. Some don’t even know about Jesus. They’ve been raised in homes where Sunday is just another day. They don’t own a Bible. Jesus’s name may only be a cuss word to them. They’ve never “tasted” and seen that God is good. Yet, they’re starving for something good in their lives. We can tell them. How? Following are resources to help you share Christ with others:

Discovering His Passion shows us how Christ opened conversations about Himself, the Spirit, and eternal life. By studying how He gently engaged others, we can learn to engage others in spiritual conversations.

Taste and See that the Lord is Good cookbook is filled with tried and true recipes. More importantly, it has a Bible verse on every recipe page, how someone can come to know Christ as Savior, and “Blessings and Graces” to say at mealtime. This is a great gift for Mother’s Day, Graduation, or just to say “I care;” an easy way to share God’s GOODNESS with others.

Know Jesus as Savior is a link you can copy and paste in an email or text message when talking with someone about Christ.

God is GOOD. Let’s share the good news of His GOODNESS with others.

LORD, You are GOOD! Help us share Your NAME and spread Your LOVE to those who don’t know You.
