Impregnable Rock

Are You a Low Viewer or a High Viewer

05/21/2021

Do you need a place to go that is higher than you  – where you can look at life from an eternal perspective? If you said yes, that’s understandable. The daily grind can become just that – a grind. The thrill of the chase ends. Romance changes. The kids grow up. The job ends. The money runs out. The other side wins. Sin gets the best of us. We’re disappointed with our life. What do we do in those cases?  Isaiah 33:16 tells us we can go to a place to gain perspective.  “He will dwell on the heights, his refuge will be the IMPREGNABLE ROCK.” If we know we can scale the heights and see life with an eternal perspective, then we must ask ourselves if we are going to God and doing that.  Or, are we trudging through our day bemoaning our circumstances?  Today, let’s scale the heights of the Lord, our impregnable rock, and consider things from His eternal perspective.

LORD, You are the IMPREGNABLE ROCK, our spiritual refuge. Thank You that we can scale heaven’s heights and view our life with Your perspective.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

Do you need a place to go to that is higher than you, a place where you can scale the heights and look at life from a different, eternal perspective? If you said, yes, that’s understandable. The daily grind can become just that – a grind. The thrill of the chase ends. Romance changes. The kids grow up. The job ends. The money runs out. The other side wins. Sin gets the best of us. Praise to the Impregnable Rock

“He will dwell on the heights, His refuge will be the Impregnable Rock” (Isaiah 33:16).

Do you need a refuge, a place you can go that is higher than yourself, a place where you can scale the heights and look at life from a different, more eternal perspective? We all do. The daily grind can become just that – a grind. The thrill of the chase ends. The romance changes. The kids grow up. The job ends. The money runs out. The other side wins. Sin gets the best of us. What then?

The one who loves and follows Christ finds refuge in the Impregnable Rock. In Christ, we scale beyond our current circumstances and see life with an eternal perspective. In Christ, we have a place of solidity on which to stand.

Can someone who is not a follower of Christ understand our refuge in the Impregnable Rock? Probably not. But maybe if we show them the way, they will discover Him for themselves.

LORD, You are the IMPREGNABLE ROCK, our spiritual refuge. Thank You, our Lord and God!

IMPREGNABLE ROCK

“He will dwell on the heights, his refuge will be the impregnable rock;”

Isaiah 33:16

Do you ever need a refuge; a place you can go that is higher than yourself; a place where you can scale the heights and look at life from a different, more eternal perspective? We all do. The daily grind can become just that – a grind. The thrill of the chase ends. The romance changes. The kids grow up. The job ends. The money runs out. The other side wins. Sin gets the best of us. What then? Are you lost and in the dark? Are you alone?Sometimes it may feel that way. But for the one who loves and follows Christ, the impregnable rock, we have a height to which we can scale to view life. We have a place of solidity. We have a fortress not made with hands. Can someone who is not a follower of Christ understand our refuge in the impregnable rock? Probably not. But maybe if we show them the way, they will one day scale the height and discover Him for themselves.

LORD, You are IMPREGNABLE ROCK; my castle in the sky, my spiritual fortress. I can scale the heights and find refuge in You. I can look at life from Your higher and more grand perspective. Thank You, my Lord and God!
