Jeremiah 32:17

When You Face Something Beyond DIFFICULT

07/13/2024
A man looking down and discouraged

Do you ever find something to be beyond difficult? If so, I can relate. I’ve often found myself in “over my head.” I wanted to quit. Many of the things we find difficult are not those we can or should give up on. Our marriage, parenting, families, job, health, church, and friendships all require commitment. When we find them to be difficult, we can remember what Jeremiah 32:17 says that, with God, nothing is too difficult.

“Ah LORD GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You.”

Isn’t that a great verse? I hope it makes you smile. It does me. God wants us to know “He’s got this.” It’s an incredible reminder that instead of cratering when we’re under pressure, we can call on God who “made the heavens and earth by His great power and outstretched arm.” He can help us with whatever we’re facing. He wants to help us. Call on Him now. Then, prayerfully record in Prayers of My Heart prayer journal the things weighing you down. Ask God for wisdom on how to handle them. Then, be sure and record how He guides you in the “Meditations, Notes, and Prayer” section of your journal. Date and record your thanks to Him as He walks you through each day.

LORD, NOTHING IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR YOU! Thank You for Your presence, Your power, and Your provision. We love you!

When We Question God’s Power

01/11/2024

Whether we’re shopping for a car or a computer, we typically ask, “How powerful is it?” Why do we ask? We want to know if what we’re considering buying can do what we want and need.

We may not say or even realize it, but sometimes we may question God’s power. For example, we pray about something and then we worry.

If we really believed that nothing is impossible with God, then worry wouldn’t have a place in our lives.

Today is a good day to remember 1 Chronicles 29:11, that God is all powerful and we can confidently place our trust in Him. “Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.”

Let that be our prayer. Let that be our mindset as we live out our day.

“Lord, You are great, ALL POWERERFUL, and the One to whom glory, victory, and majesty belong. Help us walk out our faith and belief and trust in You today rather than fret over details.”

Friends, I’d love to have you join me beginning Wednesday, January 10th at 10 am for our weekly Bible Study of John Part 2 or on Thursday, January 11th at 6:30 pm. Click here for more info.

Live outside of the Texas Hill Country? No problem! My weekly teachings and Listening Guides will be added HERE each week so you can follow along or use it for a group study.

When We Question God’s Power

Praise to OUTSTRETCHED ARM

07/26/2016

“‘Ah Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your OUTSTRETCHED ARM! Nothing is too difficult for You,’”

When you think of God, how do you view Him? Is He in heaven with His arms crossed and a scowl on His face? Or, is He snoozing while we go about our day? In Jeremiah 32, the Lord God is portrayed as having an OUTSTRETCHED ARM. He make the heavens by His OUTSTRETCHED ARM. He delivered the Jews from Egyptian bondage by His OUTSTRETCHED ARM. He brought them into the land of Israel by His OUTSTRETCHED ARM. (21-22) In other words, the Lord God is not uninterested or asleep. He’s actively engaged in the affairs of mankind. And nothing is too difficult for Him. Keep praying and watching!

Lord GOD, You have acted by Your OUTSTRETCHED ARM and continue to act. I praise You!

NOTHING IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR

04/02/2013

“Ah LORD GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You.”

Jeremiah 32:17

Do you, at times, find a task to be difficult? I do! I recently attempted to tackle a new project and found myself in “over my head.” I wanted to quit. Many of the things we find difficult are not those we can or should quit on. Our marriages, parenting, jobs, church commitments, and friendships all require that we stay the course. When we find them to be difficult, we can remember that with God nothing is too difficult. Rather than crater, we can call on God who made the heavens and earth by His great power and outstretched arm. What assurance we can have in our LORD GOD, with whom nothing is too difficult.

LORD GOD, NOTHING IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR YOU! All glory and praise to YOU!
