Meet Jesus

Knock Knock

LISTEN

How would you describe yourself? Would you use “DOOR” to communicate to others who you are? I certainly wouldn’t. But, Jesus did. In John 10:9 He said, “I am the DOOR; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved,…” Why would Jesus describe Himself as a door? He wants us to know that there is an “outside” of heaven and an “inside” of heaven. Heaven is a place and we are “outside” until we go “into” heaven through Jesus. Make no mistake. Everyone will not live eternally “in” heaven. Only those who enter through Jesus will be in heaven. Our Heavenly Father sends a personal invitation to you to enter eternal life in heaven through the forgiveness of your sins Jesus paid on the cross. No knocking required. Just a prayer. Acknowledge your sins to God. Ask Him to forgive you. Receive the gift of His forgiveness and the Holy Spirit. Learn more at Meet Jesus.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for opening the DOOR to heaven through Your sacrifice on the cross.

“Door” is one of God’s 26 character traits in my book, Pray with Purpose, Live with Passion. Learn more HERE.

Examine Yourself

03/06/2019

LISTEN

Are you ever blind to something about yourself that others see? The other day after speaking at a luncheon, I got in my car and glanced in the mirror to check my hair. When I did, I noticed I had spinach in my teeth. I immediately winced and wondered why someone hadn’t told me. Of course, we’re ultimately responsible for ourselves. That’s why 2 Corinthians 13:5 is a good word regarding something much more important than our external appearance. It says, “Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?” We’re told to see if Christ’s Spirit is in us. In other words, just as we check our external appearance, we’re to check our internal.  If you’re not sure Christ’s Spirit is in you or would like to know how to receive Christ’s Spirit, visit Meet Jesus.

When You Want to Know the Future Look to Jesus, Not a Psychic Reader

09/05/2018

LISTEN

Have you ever called the psychic hotline or used Tarot cards for the purpose of divination? If so, you’ll be encouraged to know there’s another, better option. The Bible warns us to not seek knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means of divination such as Tarot cards or a psychic hotline. Ezekiel 13:7 says, “Did you not see a false vision and speak a lying divination when you said, ‘’The Lord declares,’ but it is not I who have spoken?'” Throughout the Bible we’re warned to not listen to unclean spirits, but rather to His Word and those He inspired by His Holy Spirit. Yes, at times we may want to know the future and what to do, but the right way to find those answers is to read the Bible and pray, “Lord, direct me.” Luke 24:19  tells us that Jesus was a PROPHET mighty in deed and word in the sight of God and all the people.” He is the One we’re to seek and can trust.

CHECK THESE OUT:  Prayers for Different Occasions,  Meet Jesus

Jesus, You are God’s PROPHET who speaks truth. May we seek and obey You.

“…Jesus the Nazarene, who was a PROPHET mighty in deed and word in the sight of God and all the people.” Luke 24:19
