God is all knowing as Psalm 139:4 explains, “Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, O LORD, you know it all.” He knows our thoughts, weaknesses, and heart better than we do (Romans 8:26-27). He knows our future (Acts 11:27-28). He knows what others are thinking, doing, and planning. He knows Satan’s schemes. There is no one to whom we can go who is more knowledgeable, loving, caring, wise, and invested in our best. When we begin our day bowed before Him, confessing our love, proclaiming His majesty, and thanking Him for His grace, His ears are tuned to our confessions, struggles, and needs. Our confidence to enter into our day, our inner peace, and joy aren’t in our circumstances and things beyond our control, but rather are in our loving Father in whom we have placed our trust. Whatever lies before us, we know our Father loves us, will be there for us, walk with us, and guide us.

The wise believer acknowledges God not only in routine blessings before meals but also acknowledges God in every area of their life. In other words, they are joined to Christ at the spiritual “hip.” They are united spirit to His Spirit from the time they open their eyes in the morning until they close them at night. Does that describe you?

Heavenly Father, You are the all KNOWING, omniscient Lord who loves me so much. Awaken me to the gift of Your presence Who is present to guide me through every moment of the day. May I live joyfully because I am aware of Your presence.

One of our key verses today is Acts 11:27-28. To watch or listen to more of Debbie’s teaching on the book of Acts, click HERE

The Cherished Gift of Intimacy with God

06/03/2025

FRIENDS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS DURING MY CANCER JOURNEY. I HAVE A PET AT 6:30 AM TO SEE THE RESULTS OF THE RADIATION. WE LOOK FORWARD TO CELEBRATING THE HEALING POWER OF GOD. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS!

Are you familiar with the literary use of juxtapositions, which places two things close together to show the contrast?  No doubt you’re familiar with Charles Dickens’ use of juxtaposition in A Tale of Two Cities; “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…”

In Proverbs 3:32, the writer contrasts people who are devious with those who are upright. “For the devious are an abomination to the LORD; But He is intimate with the upright.”

This verse not only contrasts two types of people, but also notes the LORD’s response to them. God is intimate with the upright, indicating familiarity through closeness, conversation, mutual interests, and friendship. The literal translation of Proverbs 3:32 is, “His private counsel is with the upright.” Private counsel. Think about that and the incredible fact that God is willing and wants to give you private counsel.

Yes, God is intimate with the upright. He has intimate, private counsel and conversation with those who draw near to Him as James 4:8 reminds us. He listens to our prayers.  God’s Spirit intercedes for us with “groanings too deep for words” (Romans 8:26). No greater intimacy could be experienced.

Heavenly Father, INTIMATE Lord, I cherish my relationship with You. Thank You for not only being with me, but for being in me through Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for speaking to me through Your Word and still quiet voice. I love You!

Praise to God who KNOWS ALL (OMNISCIENT)

06/25/2018

Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, O LORD, you KNOW it all.

 Psalm 139:4

God is ALL KNOWING. He knows our thoughts. Romans 8:26,27. He knows our future. Acts 11:27,28. There is no one to whom we can go who is more knowledgeable. We can bow before Him. We can tell Him our needs. We can admit our secrets and struggles. Wherever life is taking us, He knows where we are and the best course of action for us to take. We’re wise to ask for His help.

Lord, we praise you and thank You, ALL KNOWING, OMNISCIENT Lord!

Inspirational!

07/03/2015

Prayer journaling, for me, is inspirational!

Why? First of all, prayer is not just about us pouring out our requests to God, but also about God pouring His will into us—what He is doing and accomplishing.

Can you imagine the disciples “telling” Jesus where they were going next on their missionarg journey, how they were going to get there, and who they were going to heal? I

nstead, we find the disciples following Jesus and listening to His instructions.

Yes, at times they questioned Him. “Rabbi, the Jews were just now seeking to stone You, and You are going there again?” (John 11:8). But then they listened and followed.

Many times I’ve knelt with my Bible open and my prayer journal in hand, not knowing how or what to pray. But in those times of silence, the Lord directed me even as Romans 8:26 says. In those times, the Holy Spirit brings to mind prayer requests that have direction and insight that I would not have thought of. The joy of being led by God’s Spirit and recording His requests is dynamic and didactic when we kneel with Bible and journal in hand. It’s two-way communication with the Father.

On the paper you see only words, but in lives you see change as the dynamic Spirit of God the Father moves on behalf of His children and kingdom.
