Emerge!  God wants us to emerge from the cocoon of our past life and from living in the flesh. He wants us to experience freedom in the Holy Spirit and to soar above the grind of life.

Spirit & Flesh Warnings

  • Keep watching & praying. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.  Mt 26:41
  • The flesh sets its desire against the Spirit …for these are in opposition to one another. Gal 5:17
  • We are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh… Rom 8:12

Spirit & Flesh Teachings

  • Born of the Spirit. Jn 3:5
  • Jesus’ Spirit to be manifest in our mortal flesh. 2 Cor 4:11
  • It no longer be we who live, but Christ’s Spirit living in us. Gal 2:20
  • Bear the fruit of the Spirit. Gal 5:22-23
  • To live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. 1 Pet 4:12
  • To not grieve the Holy Spirit. Eph 4:30
  • To not quench the Spirit. 1 Thes 5:19
  • Be filled with the Spirit. Eph 5:18
  • Pray in the Spirit. Jude 20
  • Walk by the Spirit and not carry out the desire of the flesh.  Gal 5:16
  • Live by the Spirit. Gal 5:26
  • Lives be a demonstration of the Spirit. 1 Cor 2:4
  • Led by the Spirit. Rom 8:14

In the Renewed & Transformed Conference, we borrowed 3 application questions from Blake Coffee, co-author of Trusting God’s People…Again.  Consider them in light of the above Scriptures.

What? ….is God saying to you about discerning His voice?

So What? ….Why do you need to hear it?

Now What? ….What do you need to do right now to bring your life into compliance with these Scriptures?

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Help me learn to walk and live by Your Spirit so that my life is a demonstration of You and brings You glory.  In Jesus’s name, Amen.
