BAPTIZES in the HOLY SPIRIT

“I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me,

‘He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who                         baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’”

 John 1:33 

Two different men chosen for different assignments. God sent John to baptize in water. God sent Jesus to baptize in the Holy Spirit. Water baptism is experienced in our flesh in a “moment” in time. Spirit baptism is experienced in our spirit and “remains upon” us. Only Jesus can baptize us in the Holy Spirit. Have you been to Him?   

I praise You, JESUS, that when we come to You in sincere repentance of our sin and confess You as Lord, raised from the dead, that You BAPTIZE us in the HOLY SPIRIT and remain internally eternally upon us.
