If You’re Faltering

I’ve had the blessing of holding our newborn children and grandchildren. Holding them was no problem. As a matter of fact, it was a delight to hold them. I was able to intently gaze at their faces as I prayed for them. The more I held them, the deeper my love grew. Wouldn’t it have been silly if they had been able to talk and argued, “Don’t hold me. I’m too heavy.” Or, what if they had said, “I don’t want to bother you. You don’t need to hold me.”
In light of that, consider our Heavenly Father’s words in Isaiah 41:10, “I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
Think about our Father’s words in relation to you. “I will uphold you;” literally, “hold you up.”
In the Bible, God’s right hand symbolizes His strength. His right hand is a strong hand of righteousness.
Are you facing something that is overwhelming or oppressive? Do you feel like you might crumble or falter?
If so, I can relate. Being diagnosed with lung cancer in 2024, although not a smoker, led me to look to God in new ways to uphold me through chemotherapy, a lobectomy, and radiation. God upheld me moment by moment, day by day and He will uphold you no matter what you are going through. Look to Him in faith and love.
Lord, You are my UPHOLDER. Thank You for holding me up with Your strong, righteous right hand. I love You and give You praise!
