1 Timothy 2:5
Is Jesus the One Way to God?
Have you heard people who are good hearted and well intentioned say they believe there are many ways to heaven?
Have you heard people who claim to be Christians say they don’t believe Jesus is the only way to God? Let’s think about that for a moment. These same people typically also say that Jesus was a good teacher. Yet, how “good” a teacher is Jesus if what He teaches is not the truth because Jesus taught He is the only way to heaven. “No one comes to the Father but through Me,” John 14:6.
If there are, in fact, other ways to get to heaven besides Jesus, then He is not a good teacher. In fact, how can Christians be assured they have access to God through Jesus if He either intentionally lied about being the only way or was mistaken? Is our faith in Jesus misplaced?
We can’t have it both ways. Jesus is either the One Mediator between God and men, as 1 Timothy 2:5 states or He is not. “For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
We have to make a decision. Although we might want to say there are many ways to heaven to appease others, that’s not what the Bible says or Jesus teaches. There is one God, and one mediator between God and us, Jesus. If you don’t yet know Him, get to know Him. Submit your life and eternity to Him. He is trustworthy and proven.
Lord Jesus Christ, You are the ONE GOD and mediator in whom I trust. I praise You for making peace between God and me.

God is Not a Flavor
In 1953, Baskin Robbins wowed ice cream lovers by offering customers a choice of 31 flavors. That’s a great offer for ice cream, but unfortunately, our world has adopted a “31” viewpoint concerning salvation. In other words, we’ve decided we can be reconciled to God through the plan of our choice, be it self-improvement, doing good things, or a world religion of our choosing. But not so warns God throughout Scripture such as in 1 Timothy 2:5:
“There is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
If we think we can make a Baskin Robbin choice of how we’re reconciled to God, we’re wrong. Dead wrong. God has warned us that the only way we can be reconciled to Him is through His Son. Christ Jesus is the one mediator who can reconcile us to God for eternity. Tell others!
Christ Jesus, we praise You, our MEDIATOR, for making peace between Your Father and our Father.

When Public Opinion Doesn’t Matter
We have to make a decision. We either believe what Jesus says about Himself or we don’t. In other words, we call Him a liar or we call Him God. Although we might want to be agreeable with people who insist there are many ways to heaven, that’s not what the Bible says. This is one time when public opinion doesn’t matter. No other prophet besides Jesus claimed to be the God. No other prophet was killed and rose from the dead as Jesus did; witnessed by hundreds. First Timothy 2:5 explains, “There is ONE GOD, and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ.” If you don’t know Him, get to know Him. The account of His life and His teachings are recorded in the Bible. A good place to begin is the book of John. Pray before you begin reading, open your mind, heart, and spirit to receive Him.
Lord Jesus Christ, thank YOU for being the One God and one way to salvation. Open the hearts and minds of those who side with public opinion that there are many ways to heaven. Show them that You alone are the One God in whom there is deliverance from sin and deliverance to heaven.

Praise to the One God
“For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2: 5).
We have to make a decision. We either believe what Jesus says about Himself or we don’t. In other words, we call Him a liar or we call Him Lord. Although we might want to say that there are many ways to heaven, that’s not what the Bible says; it’s not what Jesus claimed. And, no other prophet claimed to be God as Jesus did. No other prophet was killed and rose from the dead as Jesus did; His resurrection witnessed by hundreds.

A good place to begin is the New Testament book of John. Before you read, you might want to say a simple prayer, “God, please help me see You and find You. If Jesus is Your true Son, open my heart, mind, and spirit to receive Him.”
Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for being the ONE GOD we can trust. We praise You and rejoice in the eternal life You give us.
Praise to the One MEDIATOR
“There is one God, and ONE MEDIATOR also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
Baskin Robbins wowed ice cream lovers with its 31 flavors when it opened. Instead of offering only a few flavors, it offered multiple combinations of flavors and cones. Unfortunately, our world has adopted a “31” viewpoint about God. We’ve decided we can become reconciled to Him through self-improvement programs, buying our way, doing enough good things, or the world religion of our choice. But God is God. He is Holy. He is high and lifted up. If we think we can choose how we’re reconciled to God, we’re wrong. God has chosen how we can be reconciled to Him, and it is through His Son. Christ Jesus is the ONE MEDIATOR who can reconcile us to God.
Christ Jesus, We praise You, our MEDIATOR, for making peace between Your Father and us.
ONE GOD
“For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
1 Timothy 2: 5
We have to make a decision. We believe what Jesus says about Himself or we don’t. In other words, we deem Him a liar or God in the flesh who has come to redeem man. You decide. And if you believe Him and agree, then join me on fallen knees thanking Him for what He has saved us from. And if you’re not familiar with what He has saved us from, read your Bible. Check out the activity of His arch enemy Satan, who poses like “light” but is the manifestation of evil. While Jesus is inviting His followers to walk on water, Satan has his gnashing their teeth, cutting themselves, and screaming like maniacs. Once again, and forever – I choose Jesus.
Lord Jesus Christ, I believe YOU ARE the ONE GOD who is able to mediate between God and me. I praise You and rejoice in You.

ONE MEDIATOR
“There is one God, and one Mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
1 Timothy 2:5
31 flavors. Baskin Robbins wowed ice cream lovers when it opened. Instead of offering only a few flavors, it offered multiple ones through its combinations of flavors and cones. Unfortunately, our world has adopted a “31” viewpoint about God. We’ve decided we can get to Him through self-improvement programs, buying our way, or the world religion of our choice. But guess what. God has already chosen His mediator: Christ. Jesus is the one mediator between God and us. God sent Him to save the WORLD. There are not 31 flavors of salvation. There is one. Let’s praise HIM!
Christ Jesus, We praise You, the ONE MEDIATOR between God and us!
