blameless

Disheartened or Confident?

01/29/2024

Have you ever come to the conclusion that there are few people you can really trust? When we’re told one thing and then find out the person never intended to follow through on their promises, it’s disheartening. That’s why we appreciate descriptions of God like we find in Psalm 18:30, “As for God, His way is BLAMELESS; …”

Once again the Bible reiterates what we need and long to hear – that we can look to and fully trust our Lord.

He is blameless, which in Hebrew means “whole, entire, sound, complete, wholesome, unimpaired, having integrity, entirely in accord with truth and fact.”

Reread the definition of blameless and celebrate and praise the Lord for who He is.

Confidently voice your faith in Jesus Christ. Let the integrity of the blameless Lord shine through you.

Lord, thank You that we can look to and trust You, Your Word and ways, BLAMELESS One!

Yes, There Is Someone We Can Trust

02/02/2020

We hear the news – one person gives their side of a story. Then another person gives theirs. We’re told one thing, and then find out it was a lie.  Is there anyone to whom we can look and fully trust? Yes! Our Lord. “BLAMELESS” is the word that describes Him and in Hebrew means “whole, entire, sound, complete, wholesome, unimpaired, having integrity, entirely in accord with truth and fact.” That, friend, describes our LORD. Psalm 18:30 says, “As for God, His way is BLAMELESS;…” He is the One to whom we look and in whom we celebrate in praise.  He and His Word are what we follow, not the changing culture.  Today, let the light of the Blameless Lord shine forth through you.

Lord, we celebrate YOU, the BLAMELESS One!

Holy, Blameless, & Beyond Reproach

02/28/2014

And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach

Colossians 1:21-22

Picture it. You’re in heaven. Myriads of angels surround God’s throne. You’re overwhelmed by God’s glory and majesty. You fall prostrate before Him. Then, suddenly, Christ presents you to His Father. “This is _(insert your name)___.”  Jesus continues,  “She/he is holy, blameless, and beyond reproach.” Gulp! Me, holy? Me, blameless? My mind is whirling with sins I’ve committed.” But neither God the Father or Son seem concerned. Their faces show only love. Their eyes welcome me. Jesus extends His nail scared hand. “You are holy, blameless, and beyond reproach. I took care of things in your past for you.” There is no way to describe the relief, the weight lifted from my chest. “Christ is going to present me holy, blameless, and beyond reproach.” Say it to yourself. Say it often. Then in gratitude, bow and worship.

Lord God, no words can describe what it feels like as I contemplate that Jesus will present me to You as holy, blameless, and beyond reproach. Thank You for the great sacrifice You both made! Thank You for the gift of forgiving my sin and the guilt of my sin.
