Equipper
I Can’t or I Can
“I can’t do it!” Have you ever felt that way?
Maybe you feel that way about your job, marriage, eating healthy, or fulfilling a ministry responsibility.
Maybe you know what you need to do, but don’t have the energy or stamina so you say, “I can’t.”
If you feel that way, you’re not alone. I wish I had a penny for every time I’ve felt inadequate or incapable.
When we feel that way, it helps to remember the wonderful truth in Hebrews 13:20-21. God is able. He can equip us. “Now the God of peace, … equip you in every good thing to do His will…”
Yes, when faced with seemingly impossible responsibilities, we may feel that we can’t fulfill them. In those times, we must remember Who is in us and that God can and will equip us to do His will.
We can say as the apostle Paul did, “…not that I am adequate in myself, but my adequacy comes from God,” 2 Corinthians 3:5.
Heavenly Father, thank You that You EQUIP us to do Your will. Help us be mindful of Your presence and yielded to Your Spirit.

I Can’t or I Can
“I can’t do it!” Have you ever felt that way? Maybe you feel that way about your job, marriage or even getting to the gym and eating healthy. Maybe you know what you need to do as a parent, but don’t have the energy and stamina, so you say, “I can’t.” Perhaps you feel you “can’t” be the Christian that God desires you to be. If you feel that way, you’re not alone. I wish I had a penny for every time I’ve felt inadequate. But the wonderful thing is, Hebrews 13:20-21 assures us that God is able. “Now the God of peace, … equip you in every good thing to do His will…” We can say along with Paul, “not that I am adequate in myself, but my adequacy comes from God.” 2 Corinthians 3:5
Heavenly Father, thank You for equipping us to do that to which You call us. Increase our mindful dependence on You so we walk by Your Spirit. We love and praise You.

Praise to the Lord, Our EQUIPPER
“Now the God of peace, … equip you in every good thing to do His will … Amen.”
“I can’t do it!” Have you ever felt that way? Maybe you’ve felt that in relation to your job, marriage, parenting, or even being the Christian you desire to be. If you feel that way, you’re not alone. I wish I had a penny for every time I’ve thought those words. But, the fact of the matter is, our Lord is able. He is able to EQUIP us. And, He’s on our side. He wants to EQUIP us. What does He want to EQUIP us to do? He wants to EQUIP us in every good thing to do His will. God, who raised Jesus from the dead, is able to EQUIP you and me – to stay the course to do His will. Rather than stop after saying, “I can’t do this,” continue and say, “but God will EQUIP me.”
Lord God, who EQUIP’s us to do every good thing according to Your will, we praise You!
