Lord's Prayer

Feeling Alone?

07/24/2023
Do you ever feel alone? It’s easy to feel that way at times. Maybe you live by yourself or are in the hospital or are confined to home due to an illness or a fall. Maybe you work from home and even though you connect with others by phone or email, you still feel alone. Perhaps you feel alone even though you have a bustling household. Your feeling may stem from feeling like no one understands what you’re going through. Feelings, as you no doubt know, can be deceptive. They can be unreliable standards of truth. The truth is, Jesus has promised to never leave us and our Heavenly Father is a prayer away. They:
  • SEE us.
  • KNOW what we need before we ask.
  • LOVE us.

If you’re feeling alone, pray to your Father in Heaven who loves you so very much.

Pray, then, in this way: OUR FATHER who is in heaven…  Matthew 6:9

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for loving us, being with us, and providing Your Holy Spirit to be ever present with us. We love You.

Feeling Alone?

08/07/2020
It’s easy to feel alone due to self quarantining, because we don’t have a close friend, or we’ve lost a loved one. How incredible that Jesus wants us to know we’re not alone and that we have an ever present, loving, heavenly FATHER who:
  • SEES us.
  • REWARDS sacrificial effort that no one sees.
  • KNOWS what we need before we ask.
  • FORGIVES US as we forgive others.

Regardless of what kind of earthly father we may have or may have had, we have a HEAVENLY FATHER who is holy and listening to us as we pray.

Would you join me in praying the Lord’s Prayer in worship and praise to OUR FATHER.

Where is Jesus When Natural Disasters Occur

08/30/2019

Listen

Wildfires. Flooding. Volcanoes. Tornadoes. Earthquakes.  Have you been affected by a natural disaster that killed a loved one, destroyed your livelihood, injured a loved one or caused you physical harm? Have you lost everything and in devastation raised your fist and asked God why? There are many questions we won’t have answered until heaven. But we can know this for sure. Jesus explained to the disciples that our current world is under the rule of Satan. He wanted us to know that and that He is praying for us. What is Jesus praying? Among the myriad of things, we know that He prays as in Luke 22:32, that our faith not fail. John 17:15, 24 record Jesus’s prayer that we be kept from the evil one and we see His glory. When we watch loving Christians respond to those suffering natural disasters, we’re seeing the face and hands of God.

Lord Jesus, thank You that You care for us and pray for us. Thank You for those who reach out to others in times of crisis.

Praise to OUR FATHER

08/17/2018

“‘Pray, then, in this way: OUR FATHER who is in heaven…’”

Of the many ways Jesus could have told us to address God in prayer, He chose, “OUR FATHER.”
In verses 6-14, Jesus tells us:
  • OUR FATHER sees us.
  • OUR FATHER rewards sacrificial effort that no one sees.
  • OUR FATHER knows what we need before we ask.
  • OUR FATHER forgives us as we forgive others.
  • Regardless of what kind of earthly father we had, we have a HEAVENLY FATHER who is holy and who is listening as we pray.

Would you join me today in praying the Lord’s Prayer in worship and praise to OUR FATHER.
