Revelation 1:8

Why You Can Stop Fretting

08/06/2020

“I don’t know where this is going.” Have you ever said or thought those words in regard to the unrest in our world, nation, or perhaps your family or a personal situation? The past may be a blur and the future uncertain. It’s no wonder that we may feel uneasy at times. Yet, in the midst of our ever-changing world, believers have this hope and promise: Jesus isn’t going anywhere. He’s right here with us, just like He was with us yesterday and just like He will be with us tomorrow. Revelation 1:8 records Jesus’s words of assurance to us, “I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.’” Our Lord was with us in our past. He’s with us this moment. He’ll be with us tomorrow. We have an ever-present Lord to see us through our days. Breathe a sigh of relief, thank Him, and confidently move forward in your day.

Christ Jesus, ALPHA and OMEGA, we praise YOU, who is and who was and who is to come.

Praise to the OMEGA

08/10/2018

“’I am the Alpha and the OMEGA,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.’”

Do you ever wonder what is going to happen in our world? If you know your Bible, it’s both comforting and sobering to realize that the end of the world, as we know it, is approaching. What comfort can we have as wars and rumors of war continue; as terrorism strikes far and near?  Our comfort is that at the end, our Lord God, the OMEGA, will be there.

Lord, You are the Alpha and OMEGA, who is and who was and who is to come. Knowing that You will always be present with us is comforting.

If you have Prayers of My Heart prayer journal, take time today to go through it and highlight or record ways God has answered your prayers. It’ll encourage your heart to think on His faithfulness in the past and in the future.

Praise ALPHA and OMEGA

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.’”

Revelation 1:8

“I don’t know where this is going.” Have you ever said or thought those words? The past is a blur. The future is uncertain. In the midst of our ever changing world, Jesus Christ announces that He’s not going anywhere. He was with us in the past. He’s with us this moment. He’ll be with us tomorrow. We do well to look up in awe and praise.

Christ Jesus, ALPHA and OMEGA, we praise YOU, who is and who was and who is to come.
