Revelation 21:5

Listen to the Right Person

LISTEN

Today, trust is at an all-time low. Why? People don’t always speak truthfully. Lying appears to have become socially acceptable. But, it’s not acceptable to God. He is the truth and speaks the truth.  Revelation 21:5 NIV records, “He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are TRUSTWORTHY and true.’”  Jesus wants us to know that if He says something, we can count on it. He and His words are trustworthy and true and He is making everything new. Those are words of hope and encouragement that we need to hear. If there were ever a time that we should listen to Jesus and take hold of the hope of a new day, it’s now. If you’ve been hurt by an untrustworthy person, don’t let that keep you from trusting God. He has an eternal track record of being TRUSTWORTHY.

Lord, thank You for being TRUSTWORTHY!

Listen to the Right Person

Would you agree that trust is at an all-time low? Why do you think that is? Perhaps because people don’t always speak truthfully. Lying appears to have become socially acceptable. But it’s not acceptable to God. He is the truth and speaks the truth.  Revelation 21:5 NIV records the following:

He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are TRUSTWORTHY and true.’

Jesus wants us to know that if He says something we can count on it. He and His words are trustworthy and true, and the good news is He is making everything new. His words give us hope and encouragement we need to hear. If there were ever a time that we should listen to Jesus and take hold of the hope of a new day, it’s now. If you’ve been hurt by an untrustworthy person, don’t let that keep you from trusting God. He has an eternal track record of being trustworthy.

Praise to Our TRUSTWORTHY Lord

“He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are TRUSTWORTHY and true.’”

Revelation 21:5 NIV

Today, trust is at an all time low. Lying appears to be culturally acceptable. But, it’s not acceptable to God. One of His Ten Commandments is, “Do not lie.” The Lord God Almighty is not a liar. What He says is trustworthy and true. If at any time we should believe God and follow what He says is morally and spiritually correct, it is now.  If you’ve been hurt by an untrustworthy person, don’t let that keep you from trusting God. He has an eternal track record of being TRUSTWORTHY. Take His hand. Side with Him, not the changing culture.

Lord, we praise You for being TRUSTWORTHY!

TRUSTWORTHY

05/25/2013

“He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’”

Revelation 21:5 NIV

Tomorrow is my mother’s birthday. She’s with Jesus now, but Bernice Ruth Taylor taught me all about God when I was a little girl. She taught me that He is trustworthy. In other words, if God said it, I can count on it. In our society which easily accepts lies as the norm, it’s a wonderful thing to celebrate our Lord, who is trustworthy. If you’ve been hurt by an untrustworthy person, don’t let that scare you from trusting God. He has a track record that won’t be broken. He is trustworthy, and that’s something about which to give a shout out of praise! Pass the word.

Lord, I praise You for being TRUSTWORTHY!
