Romans 6:23
Unwrap It!
Gifts! Who doesn’t like to receive a gift?
Presents wrapped with brightly colored paper and bows.
A gift tag with your name on it.
Someone holding a gift and offering, “Take it. I bought it for you.”
As difficult as it may be for us to understand, this is what God the Father and Christ offer us – the gift of salvation. It can only be received, not earned or bought.
Romans 6:23 explains, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Yes, in spite of our sin, the Lord offers us the “free gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Did it cost Him? Yes. It cost our Heavenly Father His only begotten Son’s life. It cost Jesus pain, humiliation, suffering, and death.
When we open God’s gift of eternal life the first thing we see is forgiveness, which gives us such joy and freedom. Then we see the gift of His Holy Spirit and are overwhelmed.
Included in the gift of eternal life is heaven, eternity, glory, peace, joy, and so much more!
Each day we realize there’s more of God’s gift to unwrap. The Gift Giver smiles as our eyes light up in joyful praise.
Lord God, thank You for being GIVING and for the incredible GIFT of eternal life. We love and praise You.

Ready or Not, He’s Coming
Did you play the game, Hide and Seek, when you were a child? The familiar, “Ready or not, here I come” warns the person who is hiding to be ready.
Did you know that the Lord gives us a, “Ready or not, here I come” that is not child’s play? It is a serious warning that Jesus is coming and we need to be ready.
Revelation 1:5-7 records the warning. “Behold, He is COMING with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.”
Jesus is coming…again. The word, “amen” in verse 7 means there’s no discussing it. It’s happening. We will either be ready for Christ’s appearing because we’ve repented of our sins or Jesus will come and find us in our sin.
If you’re not ready for Christ’s coming, respond to His gift of salvation today. (John 3:16, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, and Romans 10:8-11) Repent of your sins. Confess Jesus as Lord. Receive His gift of forgiveness and the Holy Spirit. Today is your opportunity. Prepare to meet Jesus. Ready or not, He’s coming.
Lord Jesus, COMING KING, as You came to earth once, You are coming again. Thank You for cleansing us of our sin so we are ready to meet You. Stir the hearts of the unsaved to realize that ready or not, You are coming.

Ready or Not, He’s Coming
Did you play Hide and Seek when you were a child? The familiar, “Ready or not, here I come” warns the person who is hiding to be ready. Revelation 1:5-7 is the opposite of child’s play. It is a serious warning that Jesus is coming and we need to be ready. “Behold, HE IS COMING with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.” “Amen” means there’s no discussing it. It’s happening. We will either be ready for Christ’s appearing because we’ve repented of our sins and been forgiven or we’ll be covered in our sin and shame. If you’re not ready for Christ, take this as Him offering you the opportunity to be forgiven. Read John 3:16, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:8-11. Confess you’re a sinner. Ask God to forgive you. Receive the gift of His Holy Spirit. This is your opportunity to get right and be prepared for Jesus. Do it today. He’s coming.
LORD JESUS, COMING KING, we can’t imagine the reality of Your coming, except we believe in faith that You came once. So, in faith, we believe You are returning to earth. Help our faith take action so that we tell others how they can get right with You.
Train to Heaven or Hell, DEBBIE TAYLOR WILLIAMS
I APOLOGIZE FOR YOU RECEIVING THIS 2 TIMES. THE 1st POST INCORRECTLY SAID BY Linda McConnico. “TRAIN TO HEAVEN OR HELL” WAS WRITTEN BY DEBBIE TAYLOR WILLIAMS. FOR PURPOSES OF FORWARDING OR SHARING, PLEASE USE THIS.
There are two trains. Everyone is born on one train. Its conductor has bad intentions, but to keep you unaware, he takes you along fun stops where you enjoy the rides of life – good things at work, fun parties and people. His destination is hell, but that’s not what he displays on the “Next Stop” sign. No, rather, he displays your next earthly desired destination. At the stops in life, a representative for another train places a brochure, called the Bible, in your hands that warns you that your conductor has bad intentions and is taking you to an evil destination where there is no train out. The representative invites you to ride his Father’s train for free. He tells you He’s bought you a ticket on His Father’s train that will take you to heaven. Today, we’re at one of those stops. If you’re on the train to hell, will you accept the gift of the free ticket to heaven Jesus bought for you? If so, talk to God. Admit you’ve been on the wrong train. Ask Him to forgive you. Get on the train to heaven. (Romans 6:23, Hebrews 9:27, Acts 2:37-38, Romans 10:8-11
Thank You, Lord Jesus Christ, for paying the price for our ticket to heaven. Stir the hearts of those who have never repented of their sins and confessed You as Lord and Savior to do that now.
“that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation,” Romans 10:9-10.
