Word of God

The Most Important Word

11/15/2023

If you were asked what the most important word in the world is, how would you reply?  Would it be love, hope, or peace?  Do a search on the topic and you’ll find a variety of answers such as the most important word is a person’s name.  Another answer you might find is “thank you,” which is only one word in French. The Bible has an eternal perspective on this topic, however. John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Bible passages such as  Revelation 19:13 explain the most important Word is Jesus. “His name is called THE WORD of GOD.Acts 4:10-12 warns us there is salvation in no other name except Jesus.  Now that you know the most important Word, why not start up a conversation with someone on the topic? It might lead to an opportunity for you to share Christ and tell them how they can be saved. If the person is already a Christian but not closely following Christ, it gives you an opportunity to share with them how life and light are found in Jesus. Let’s not keep this Word to ourselves!

Lord Jesus, Word of God, we love and praise You. Stir the embers in our hearts to be a roaring fire so we can’t help but share You with others.

What Jesus Looks Like

12/31/2018

LISTEN

Do you wonder what Jesus looks like? If so,  Revelation 19:13  tells us this about God’s gift to us, “His name is called THE WORD of GOD.” In other words, the Bible, God’s inspired WORD, is a collection of descriptions of Christ’s countenance, power, and thoughts. Every day, you and I’ve looked at a different facet of God – that He is wonderful, powerful, infinite, majestic, holy, kind, patient, forgiving, merciful, and on. I’ve loved my time with you this year as we’ve shared our mornings, days, or evenings – depending on when you open this email. It’s sent from me to you in love with this in mind – that we grasp a better, fuller appreciation of who our LORD is. Why? So we can more fully love and follow close after His heart. Thank you to those who have given a donation to help my non-profit ministry with the daily costs of funding 365 Days of Praise. We’re now partners in getting these daily truths into city homes, rural farmhouses, Pakistan villages, and India ministries – those who then forward them to those in their sphere of influence. You’re the best, and I love ministering with you. God bless you and Happy New Year!

Lord Jesus Christ, we praise You, living, breathing, WORD of GOD.

WORD of GOD

06/04/2013

“His name is called The Word of God.”

 Revelation 19:13

Words define us.  They are an expression of our heart. They let others know what is on our mind. Jesus is the personification of all God might say or think. Jesus is an expression of God’s heart. Jesus is God’s Word made flesh.

Lord Jesus Christ, I praise You, WORD of GOD!
