Could You Use a Little Sympathy
Are you going through a rough time? Have you thought to yourself, “Nobody understands.” Or, “No one knows what I’m going through.” It may be true that friends and family don’t know what you’re going through, but Jesus does and He sympathizes with you in your struggles and temptations. Hebrews 4:15 tells us, ”we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.” In other words, Jesus gets what it’s like to live in human skin and experience hurt and struggles. He knows what its like to battle temptation. If you’re feeling alone and would like a little sympathy, you’ve got it. Jesus sympathizes with what you’re going through, and what’s more, He’s there for you.
Son of David, we adore and praise You for willingly leaving heaven to put on flesh and live among us. Thank You for sympathizing with our weaknesses and interceding on our behalf.
