365 Days of Praise
Praise to the LORD WHO PROVIDES
“Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called that place The LORD WILL PROVIDE.”
Sometimes, we may feel that we simply can’t live up to the standards God sets before us. And, it’s true. We can’t. That’s why God has provided righteousness to us through His Son. God gives us salvation. God gives us forgiveness. God gives us empowerment throught the Holy Spirit. God gives us a new life in Christ. God gives us overs. God provides for all that He requires. When God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his son as a test of his obedience and then provided a ram in the place of Isaac, Abraham named the place, “The LORD Will Provide.” The Hebrew words, “Jehovah Yireh,” means “the LORD will see to it.” God seeing to the provision for Abraham foreshadowed Him sacrificing Jesus to “see to it” that our sin debt was paid. The LORD PROVIDING His only SON to pay for our sin is the ultimate act of love. Are you in need of help in some area of your life today? Look to the LORD WHO PROVIDES.
Heavenly Father, we praise You, the LORD WHO PROVIDES. Thank You for providing Your Son to pay our sin debt. Thank You for all the ways in which You provide. We worship You!
Praise to LORD OF THE HARVEST
“Then He (Jesus) said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the LORD OF THE HARVEST to send out workers into His harvest.”
Does the word “work” scare you in relation to serving the Lord? For instance, when a minister announces the need more workers for Vacation Bible School or for volunteers to go on a mission trip, do you sink in your pew and hope your eyes don’t meet? How much of a “worker” for the LORD OF THE HARVEST are you? Jesus wasn’t trying to get His disciples to do busy work. Rather, Jesus looked at the fields of people who were stressed and discouraged, and He had compassion for them. He also had good news. “My Heavenly Father loves you. Your sins can be forgiven.” Jesus’s message of good news is as relevant today as it was when He walked the earth. And there is still a need for workers to share the good news with fields of people. Will you be one of them? Here’s how:
- Pray and ask God to use you.
- Be open and sensitive to the Spirit when He prompts you to speak and share Christ. Here are verses you can use to show someone how they can be saved.
- Share the 365 Days of Praise post every day. How? Forward this email to friends or family. Click the Facebook or Twitter symbols below and share on your social media page. You’ll be putting the good news before fields of people.
LORD OF THE HARVEST, thank You for coming to earth and telling us the good news of salvation. Help us be faithful to tell others so they can be saved.
Praise to LORD OF SABAOTH
“Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and which has been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.”
The first time I read “Lord of SABAOTH” in James 5:4, I thought it was a reference to the Sabbath. However, “SABAOTH” means host or hosts, especially in relation to warfare or service. Study this name in depth and you’ll find it’s a reference to Jehovah SABAOTH’S reign over the host of angels, the air, nations, and demons. To think that the LORD OF SABAOTH heard the cries of workers who were unfairly treated by their bosses is amazing. Keep praying, friends. The Lord of SABAOTH hears your prayers.
Lord of Sabaoth, we worship You and are humbled by Your majesty; yet tender compassion for us.

Praise to the LORD of HOSTS
“O LORD OF HOSTS, the God of Israel, who is enthroned above the cherubim, You are the God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.
Who do you call on when you’re in distress, when the world is caving in around you, and there is no one who can help you? Who do you call out to when you’re alone and powerless to change a situation? Those times have a way of humbling us. Whereas we may have been too busy to pray, we suddenly find we’re continually praying. We’re calling on God, crying out to Him. Such was the case with King Hezekiah when Sennacherib, king of Assyria, threatened to overtake Jerusalem. Hezekiah prayed and prayed hard. Listen to his prayer:
“O LORD OF HOSTS, the God of Israel, who is enthroned above the cherubim, You are the God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. Incline Your ear, O LORD, and hear; open Your eyes, O LORD, and see; and listen to all the words of Sennacherib, who sent them to reproach the living God. … Now, O LORD our God, deliver us from his hand that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, LORD, are God.” Isaiah 37:16-17, 20
Needless to say, Hezekiah didn’t want to be a defeated king. He didn’t want Jerusalem to be taken over by an enemy. But his prayer also points to a noble reason to pray for God’s deliverance – so people know that the LORD is God of all the kingdoms of the earth. When we pray, do we pray only for ourself? Or, are we praying so that God is glorified in the situation?
LORD of Hosts who is enthroned above the cherubim, we worship You and recognize You as God alone of all the kingdoms of the earth. Rule in our hearts and minds so You are glorified through our lives.

Praise to Lord of All the Earth
“It shall come about when the soles of the feet of the priests who carry the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth …” (Joshua 3:13).
I often hear a person say that it doesn’t matter who you worship, as long as you worship someone or something. It matters to the Lord of all the earth. Why would the Lord of all the earth want His creation to bow to and follow another god? He doesn’t! He’s the One we’re to bow before, listen to, and follow. Him alone.
Heavenly Father, we praise You, LORD OF ALL THE EARTH! Your majesty and power are glorious. You reign in perfect righteousness.
Praise to LORD OF LORDS
“And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
Anyone can call themselves “lord.” Anyone can “lord” themselves over another. But no one is inherently the LORD of LORDS except our LORD. When Jesus Christ, Son of God, our Savior, comes again to earth, He won’t be coming as a baby. He’ll be leading a heavenly host army. And on His robe and on His thigh, we’ll read this name: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
You, Christ Jesus, are LORD OF LORDS. We bow in worship. We rise in praise.
Praise to the Lord My Banner
“Moses built an altar and named it The LORD is My Banner” (Exodus 17:15).
Do you need a rallying point: some place you can go to find victory over your old nature and the devil’s temptations? Moses discovered that the Lord was his rallying point. When he held high the Banner of the Lord, the Israelites were victorious over their enemies. They fought in God’s name and strength, not their own. The same holds true for us. The Lord is our Banner. When we lift His name high in prayer and look to His strength, we find victory over our sin nature and the enemy.
LORD MY BANNER, we praise You and lift high Your name over our flesh and the devil.
Praise to God who LOOSENS BONDS
“O Lord, surely I am Your servant, …
You have LOOSED MY BONDS.“
Do you ever feel “tied up” by a spiritual, physical, or emotional bondage? Are you concerned for a loved one who is in bondage? In Psalm 116 we’re reminded that God can do what no one else can do. He can loosen cords that bind us. In fact, He has loosed us from the bonds of death and given us freedom for eternity. “Unbind him and let him go,” Jesus directed those who witnessed Him raise Lazarus from the dead. “Unbind her. Unbind him,” Jesus commands when we call out to Him in faith.
Lord, You are the great and mighty God who LOOSENS BONDS. We praise You for the bonds from which You’ve set us free and pray You loosen and set free those who are still in bondage.
Praise to the LIVING WATER
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of LIVING WATER.’
“I’m thirsty!” How many times have we said or thought that? And, if possible, we reach for a drink of water. Our bodies need water. In fact, they’re largely made up of water. The U.S. Geological Survey’s (USGS) Water Science School explains just how important water is to our body:
Up to 60% of the human adult body is water. The brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water.
So we get that our body needs water. But, what about our spirit? It needs water, too; Living Water, the Holy Spirit. Jesus clearly explained this.
If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, “From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'”
But this He spoke of the SPIRIT, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the SPIRIT was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
As water is to the body, so the Holy Spirit is to the soul.
Our body is dead without water. Our spirit is dead without Living Water.
Plain. Simple. Truth. Drink or die.
LIVING WATER, sweet Jesus, thank You for coming from above to speak truth into our lives. Thank You for giving Your Living Holy Spirit to all who turn to You for salvation.
Praise to God who LISTENS
“Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will LISTEN to you.”
Do you ever wish that someone would listen to you? You may ask a person, “Are you listening to me?” They may answer, “Yes.” But you still wonder if they’re really listening and hearing what you’re saying. We don’t have to wonder if God listens to us. He clearly states, “You pray. I’ll LISTEN.”
Lord, thank You for LISTENING when we come to You in prayer. We praise You!
