365 Days of Praise
Praise to the ALL POWERFUL God
“Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the POWER and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
Lord, You are the ALL POWERFUL, omnipotent God! We praise You that nothing is impossible with You.
Good News! Jesus isn’t Dead. He’s ALIVE FOREVER
“I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore,…”
Astonished. That might best describe how John felt. He’d walked with Jesus; then seen Him crucified. “Dead,” he would have replied if we’d asked him about Jesus the day following His burial. But now, John’s answer is, “ALIVE!” If today looks unbearable and you dread tomorrow, don’t. A day of glorious eternal LIFE awaits you in the presence of Christ who is alive forever.
LORD JESUS CHRIST, we praise You, who died for us, but are now ALIVE FOREVER!
Thank You, Jesus, for Being Our ADVOCATE
“My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an ADVOCATE with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;”
I wish I wouldn’t sin; but I do. I miss the mark of holiness every day. Our Heavenly Father doesn’t want us to live in sin and guilt; under judgement. He provided an ADVOCATE for us: Jesus Christ. Jesus pled and won the case for us to be released from our sins by paying our debt. Only when we arrive in heaven will we fully appreciate the magnitude of the gift of our salvation and eternal life in heaven’s glory.
Lord Jesus, we praise You! Thank You for coming alongside us and being our Advocate in Our Holy Father’s presence.

Praise God, who is ADEQUATE
“Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God,’”
The Greek word “adequacy” means sufficient, ability or competency to do a thing. The unmistakable fact is: we’re not adequate to live out our faith as the “fragrance of Christ.” (2 Cor 2:15-16) But, and this is huge – our ability to be and do that to which God calls us, IS FROM GOD. Therefore, we can praise Him and ask, “Fill me with YOUR Spirit so I walk in Your ADEQUACY.”
We praise You, LORD, that although we aren’t adequate, YOU are!

Praise to Jesus, ABOVE ALL
“… Christ … seated at His (God’s) right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.’”
“May I see your manager?” Have you ever asked that of someone when you needed someone in power to help you?
Jesus Christ is seated at God’s right hand in the heavenly places. In case we don’t have a visual of where that is, Ephesians 1:20-21 clues us in.
Jesus is far above every rule and authority and power and dominion.
ABOVE all. Above ALL. Do we get it? Christ is ABOVE ALL. And, this is the good news. He is our friend, and brother, and bridegroom. He urges us, “Tell me your needs. Let Me help you.” What a wonderful Savior!
Lord Jesus, You who are ABOVE ALL powers and principalities and names; Above all that constrains and binds us. Above all our worries. We praise You!
Thank You, Jesus, for ABOLISHING DEATH
“…our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light…’”
I thought I’d killed the bee, but I’d only stunned it. Before I could blink, it was moving – fully alive. There’s a difference between stunning something and annihilating it.
Paul wanted us to know, in no uncertain terms, that Jesus Christ didn’t just stun death. He didn’t weaken death’s power. Rather, as Bible commentators explain, Jesus “rendered death inoperative and deprived death of its strength.”*
When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, the curse of sin – death – was broken. The cross took care of the curse. What power! What love. Read 2 Timothy 1:10 in context. Worship Christ who ABOLISHED DEATH so that we would not have to fear it, but rather have full assurance of eternal life.
Lord Jesus Savior, we praise You, ABOLISHER of DEATH. Thank You for eternal life in You.

Praise to God Who is ABLE
“and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was ABLE also to perform.'”
Recently, I wandered into a kickboxing class. I’d been eyeing it from across the room where I participated in another class. I kept watching the instructor and felt sure I wasn’t able to keep up with her.
Lots of people promise things. Sometimes we boast that we can get something done by a certain time or in a certain way, and then we can’t.
Imagine having full confidence that when someone says something, they’re able to deliver. Well, we have that in God. If He says it, it’s good as done.
Abraham had that confidence in God. He believed God was able to do what He promised. He believed in God’s power.
If we’re struggling with something, it’s good to remember that God is ABLE. He’s able to do what we can’t do. He’s able to keep His promises. And that’s why we praise Him!
Praise to God Who Abides Forever
“…the Lord abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment.’”
In your lifetime, how many people have you seen take positions of leadership, win elections, take over as leader of a country, and then be unseated? It happens. People and countries are left shaken … swinging between being hopeful of a new administration or fearful of the one that’s taken office.
But our Lord God wants us to know that He’s on the throne and He’s not going anywhere. First, there’s no person or spirit or power that can touch Him. Second, if they could, they couldn’t over-power God.
If we want someone in our lives who we can depend on, then we have that security in God Who ABIDES FOREVER.
We praise You, LORD, who ABIDES FOREVER .
Happy New Year! Praise to Abba Father
“For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, ‘ABBA FATHER!'”
Have you ever seen the startled look in a child’s eyes when they were afraid of something? Have you ever seen a child recognize their father in a crowded room and run to their father? Have you ever seen a child cry and call on their daddy and say “Daddy, Daddy,” or maybe even “dada, dada.”
It’s hard to believe but the Scripture says we have a relationship with God where He is our Abba Father.
What does it mean that God is Abba Father?
It means closeness. A personal relationship. That He cares about you wants you to be close to Him. That you can call on Him. You may not have had a great earthly daddy, but you have a great heavenly daddy and for that you can rejoice and praise Him.
Today we begin a new year of 365 DAYS of PRAISE!
What does that mean? Every morning when you wake, you’ll have a NEW attribute of God in your inbox.
You can use each day’s attribute as a SPRINGBOARD for your P.R.A.Y.ers.
P.RAISE God using that day’s attribute.
R.EPENT if you’ve ignored His invitation to know Him in that way.
A.SK on the basis of that day’s attributes.
Y.IELD to Him during the day.
EXAMPLE:
LORD, You are ABBA FATHER! We praise You and thank You for adopting us as Your child. Forgive us for the times we’ve rejected Your love and guidance. Help us trust You more. We yield to You.
Praise YAHWEH
“God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
Jehovah (YHWH) is one of the primary names of God. Scholar Charles Ryrie explains:
- I AM WHO I AM, the inner meaning of Yahweh – “I am the ONE who is” – emphasizes God’s dynamic and active self-existence.
- Yahweh, literally, YHWH, is the most significant name for God in the Old Testament, occuring 6,823 times in the O.T. and is especially associated with God’s holiness, hatred of sin, and gracious provision of redemption.
When we read, “God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM’; and He said, ‘Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you,” we can’t help but be reminded that just as God sent Moses to rescue the Israelites from bondage in Egypt; God sent Jesus to rescue us from bondage to sin. Yahweh, a holy, loving, redemptive, rescuing God. How we praise Him!
YAHWEH, self-existent, dynamic I AM, we marvel at Your holiness and love for us. We worship You with abounding thankfulness on our hearts for who You are and all You have done.
