Praise to the Lord, QUIET IN HIS LOVE

03/25/2016

“The LORD your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be QUIET IN HIS LOVE, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.”

Zephaniah 3:17

Terror. Pain. Suffering. Disappointments. “Where is God?” people often ask. Does He not care? Today we live in what is referred to as a “fallen” world. We have fallen away from God. We have fallen from living by His commandments. We have a “fallen” nature that if left alone falls further and further into sin. But, God is still with us. He is the ultimate victorious warrior. He is joyous over us when we turn to Him for salvation, and we will see His joy one day when we are in His presence. He is QUIET IN HIS LOVE. Rather than hearing trumpets and cymbals announcing God’s love, we know it in our hearts. We sense God’s presence and love. Wherever you are, know that God is QUIET IN HIS LOVE for you, and He is with you every minute.

Lord, I praise You that You are with me and QUIET IN YOUR LOVE for me.

Praise to GOD who Has ESTABLISHED EQUITY

03/10/2016

“The strength of the King loves justice; You have established equity;

Psalm 99:4

Can you imagine if God ruled by ever-changing emotions and laws? What if on a whim, He decided to not be forgiving? Or, to forgive one person, but not another? What if God’s standard of holiness changed year by year? But, praise HIM, that is not who our God is. He loves justice. He has ESTABLISHED EQUITY, and He rules with equity. That is why the psalmist says, “Let them praise Your great and awesome name; Holy is He.” (Psalm 99:3) That is why we praise our great and awesome God!

GOD of EQUITY, I praise You!

Praise to God Who DWELLS ON HIGH

03/05/2016

“The Lord is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness.”

Isaiah 33:5

“So, you’re visiting here? Where do you live?” Can you imagine having that conversation with Jesus when He visited earth? Can you imagine His response, “I live in heaven. That’s where I’m from. I’m visiting here. I saw that people were trapped in sin and came to rescue them. I’m going back to heaven soon.” It sounds funny, but that’s exactly what happened. And, Jesus told people He had come down from heaven. Of course, they didn’t believe Him. Do you? Do you believe that Jesus dwells on high, but came to earth to rescue us from sin? If so, then you have a great reason to praise Him!

Lord Jesus, “amazing” is the only word that describes You, who DWELLS ON HIGH! Thank You for coming to earth to save us from our sins. All praise to You, our most merciful Lord!

Praise to the DAYSPRING FROM ON HIGH

02/25/2016

“Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the DAYSPRING FROM ON HIGH hath visited us,”

 Luke 1:78

As the sun rises in the east and brings light to the world, so Zacharias, filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesied that Jesus would be the rising star giving light to our dark world. However, Jesus gave more than physical light. The Dayspring from On High, from heaven, gives spiritual light. He shines in our hearts and dispels the darkness. He shines on our day and gives light for our path. He shines and through His light we become fruit bearers of His life giving presence.

DAYSPRING from ON HIGH, I praise You for rising in my heart and being the Light of my soul!

Praise to CHRIST

02/13/2016

“Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’”

Matthew 16:16

Jesus asked His disciples who others were saying He was.  Then He asked, “But who do you say that I am?” That’s a question every one of must answer. Simon Peter replied that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God. He got it right. Jesus affirmed Peter, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.” (v17). Peter had a heavenly grasp on the fact that Jesus wasn’t just a prophet or good man. He was the anointed Messiah who had come to save us from our sins. Today, the question remains, “Who do you say Jesus is?”

Jesus, You are the CHRIST, the SON OF THE LIVING GOD, the anointed Messiah. I praise You!

HERE is where you’ll find scriptures and worship songs to encourage you throughout the day.

Record each daily attribute in Prayers of My Heart.

Praise for the BREATH of the ALMIGHTY

02/01/2016

“The Spirit of God has made me; and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”

Job 33:4

One of ways in which God the Spirit is referred is the breath of the Almighty. Herbert Lockyer comments, “As the thoughts of my mind are articulated through the action of my breath upon the vocal cords, and are transmitted in the shape of words from the inner world of my being to the outer world when I speak, so the Spirit, or Breath of God, takes the thoughts of God, as well as the inexpressible yearnings of the believer and articulates them (Rom 8:26,27). As God’s Breath gave life to the first man, Adam (Gen 2:7), the same gives life to sinners (Jn 3:8), and to Scripture which honors the Spirit as the livingness of His divine inspiration. In the life-giving power of a breathing life, Jesus endowed His own for life and service. He breathed on them saying, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit,’ – the Master’s breath symbolizing the Spirit who was to possess them. (Jn 20:22)”

You and I can read the above explanation but what is important is that we learn to live by the energizing, inspired breath of the Almighty

I praise You, BREATH OF THE ALMIGHTY! Thank You for living in me and making me holy, set apart by Your presence. Help me live by Your empowerment and Word.

Praise to God who BINDS the BROKEN

01/26/2016

“I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the broken and strengthen the sick;”

Ezekiel 34:16

The word “broken” in Ezekiel 34:16 means “torn to pieces.”* In this passage, God’s heart for His people is seen. He states in verse 11, “I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.” He continues, “As a shepherd cares for his herd in the day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will care for my sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scatterd on a cloudy and gloomy day. (v 12) Are you “broken”? Does it seem everything is going wrong? Are you hurt or hurting? Is it a gloomy day? God cares. He loves you more than earthly words can describe. Turn to Him in your brokenness.

Thank You, Lord, for loving us and BINDING us up in our BROKENNESS. We love and praise You.

Praise to HIM who BORE OUR SINS

01/23/2016

“…He Himself BORE OUR SINS in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.”

 1 Peter 2:24

We speak of Christ as Savior who bore our sins. But has the “so that” in 1 Peter 2:24 sunk into our hearts and minds? Jesus suffered  “so that.”  So what?  “So that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.” Today 9-12 CST, I’m teaching “LISTEN UP! When the Spirit Speaks.” If you live in the Texas hill country, please come! If you don’t, you can WATCH via free LIVE STREAMING*. Join me and take away keys to discerning God’s voice; “so that” we live to righteousness in gratefulness to our Lord.

Thank You, Jesus, for BEARING OUR SIN IN YOUR BODY ON THE CROSS.  We’re so grateful that with our salvation You’ve given us the Holy Spirit so that we’re empowered to live to righteousness. Bless EACH who seeks to better discern Your voice.

Praise to AWESOME GOD

01/21/2016
“Say to God, ‘How AWESOME are Your works …All the earth will worship You, and will sing praises to You;…’”

Psalm 66:3-4

“Awesome!” It’s a word typically used for anything from completing a project to hearing about a new coffee. But, when the psalmist says in Psalm 66:5, “Come and see the works of God, Who is AWESOME in His deeds toward the sons of men,” the term means, “stupendous, illustrious.” Read Psalm 66:6. Continue with verse 16, “Come and hear, all who fear God and I will tell of what He has done for my soul.” I want to shout “hallelujah” in agreement! Our AWESOME GOD has done great things for our souls!!! And, then there is verse 20, “Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer nor His lovingkindness from me.” Now, THAT’s AWESOME! Don’t you agree?

I praise You, AWESOME GOD! You have done great things for my soul! You have not turned away my prayer nor Your lovingkindness. I praise YOU!

ANNOUNCEMENT: Many have asked about the Listen UP! Conference. If you can attend, please do! Register HERE. IF YOU CAN’T BE PRESENT, you can WATCH LIVE STREAM, 9-NOON CST on your phone, Ipad, computer HERE. Learn more about the Listen UP Conf HERE.

Praise to Jesus who has ALL AUTHORITY in Heaven & On Earth

01/20/2016
“…so that you may know that the Son of Man has AUTHORITY on earth to forgive sins..” Matthew 9:8
All AUTHORITY has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”

Matthew 28:18

When Jesus walked on earth, the crowds were awestruck by His authority over demons, sickness, and forgiving sins. Before His ascension, Jesus commanded, “ALL AUTHORITY has been given to ME in HEAVEN and on EARTH. Go and make disciples of all the nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe ALL that I commanded you. (Mt 28:18-20) Are our lives a demonstration of praise to Him who has ALL AUTHORITY?

Lord Jesus, I praise You, who have ALL AUTHORITY in heaven and on earth. May my life demonstrate my praise.

To help you draw closer to Jesus in prayer and praise.
