End Times Hope

There Is None Higher

05/10/2026
Person sitting with hands clasped, reflecting on uncertain times while trusting in God as the Highest One who reigns over all.

Do you ever wonder what in the world is going to happen?

Wars and rumors of war seem to increase in spite of temporary peace agreements between nations. Hostility, not peace, is an ever-present undercurrent in spite of who is sitting in power.

In the book of Daniel, he records God’s vision to him of future events. There will be a war and God’s saints, believers, will be overpowered until the One who is more powerful than any other, the Highest One, steps in.

He writes, “I kept looking, and that horn was waging war with the saints and overpowering them until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was passed in favor of the saints of the Highest One, and the time arrived when the saints took possession of the kingdom” (Daniel 7:21-22).

In the midst of Daniel’s prophetic vision of end times, one fact is clear. God is the Highest One and believers, who are referred to as “saints” belong to Him and His kingdom.

Do you feel as I do—honored to be on the Highest One’s side? And not only to be on His side, but also identified as His saint: forgiven, cleansed of sin, and gifted with His Spirit?

When you hear discouraging news or someone comments, “I wonder what in the world is going to happen,” assure them. The Lord, the Highest One, will prevail.” In the meantime, look to Him, pray to Him. Live for Him.

Lord, there is none like You. You are the exalted HIGHEST ONE. I worship and praise You and am honored to be called Your saint.

Why You Can Stop Worrying

04/30/2026
Person sitting and looking out over the horizon, reflecting hope and trust in Jesus as Head Over All Rule and Authority who reigns above all things.

Do you worry about where our nation is headed? Although evil may temporarily prevail, the Bible tells us the end of the story, and it’s a good ending. God prevails. Colossians 2:10 tells us Christ is not only the head of a believer and head over the church, He is head over all rule and authority. “…in Him [Christ] you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority.” Isn’t that exciting?

One day every knee will bow before Him. Examples of people humbling themselves before the Lord who is the head over all rule and authority are found throughout the Bible. Just such a case is King Nebuchadnezzar, who prided himself in his power. Read his testimony after God humbled him.

“But at the end of that period, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever; For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom endures from generation to generation” (Daniel 4:34).

Jesus is head over all rule and authority. Do you acknowledge Him as such and therefore have an uplifted countenance knowing the end of the Bible? Is there someone you can encourage with the reminder that in spite of the moral decline and turning away from God, that one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord?

Lord Jesus, thank You that You are HEAD OVER ALL RULE AND AUTHORITY! Use me to speak of my confidence in You and Your reign.

God of All the Earth

04/14/2026
Earth

Are you familiar with the concept of “one world government”? What do you think about it? Do you think it would work and who do you think would rule it? Philosopher Dante Alighieri supported it, but Philosopher Thomas Hobbes opposed it on the basis that humans are innately morally corrupt. Attempts by the League of Nations and United Nations to maintain international peace and security have failed.

Jesus referred to Satan as “the ruler of this world” in John 14:30 and Satan maintained he was when he offered the world to Jesus in Matthew 4:8-9. One only needs to look around at the violence in our world to see what Satan’s rule looks like.

So where do believers stand? Has God forgotten us? No. Isaiah 54:5 assures us, “For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the LORD of hosts; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of All the Earth.” This prophetic assurance to the nation of Israel extends to believers who have been grafted into the vine of Christ.

Although Satan has temporary rule of the earth, his reign is term-limited. (See Revelation 20.) In addition, all who turn from Satan to Jesus are immediately born into a new kingdom, Christ’s kingdom, of love, peace, and joy.

When Christ, God of All the Earth, returns, He will establish the utopia for which our soul yearns. Have you entered into His kingdom by rejecting Satan’s rule and confessing Jesus as Lord and King? Are you telling others about Christ?

GOD OF ALL THE EARTH, I can’t wait for You to come and reign over the world. Thank You for giving me a glimpse of Your peace through the Holy Spirit’s reign in my heart.
