We Can’t Wait!
“He’s coming with a sleigh and reindeer.” That’s what some parents tell their children about Santa and kids get excited in anticipation of his arrival. But hey, believers! The real gift-giver from above is coming in the clouds and not with a sleigh and reindeer. Rather, Christ will come with the armies of heaven following Him. (Revelation 19:14) Rather than wearing a human-made Santa suit, Revelation 19:16 describes Christ’s robe and what is written on it:
on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, ‘KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.’
Christ’s coming isn’t a fairy tale. It’s a fact. It’s incredible and beyond exciting. As Old Testament believers once looked forward to the day the Messiah would come, believers look forward to the day Jesus will return to earth in glory. How magnificent that will be!

The real gift giver from above is flying into our universe and He isn’t accompanied by reindeer. Rather, our Lord Jesus is accompanied by a host from heaven who are coming to earth! Revelation 19:16 says that “on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, ‘KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.'” This is no fairy tale. This is a fact. It’s incredible to think about it. It’s beyond exciting and each of us who calls on the name of Christ for salvation should be looking toward the sky with jubilant hope because He is coming. As Old Testament believers looked forward to the day the Messiah would come, believers look forward to the day Jesus will return in glory. How magnificent that will be! Are you ready?

We Can’t Wait!
“He’s coming soon with a sleigh led by some reindeer.” That’s what some parents tell their children about Santa, and oh, the kids get so excited in anticipation of his arrival. But, hey, believers! The real deal, the gift giver from above is flying into our universe and He ain’t got a few reindeer leading the way. Our Christ is leading a heavenly host from heaven into our realm, into our universe! Revelation 19:16 says that “on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, ‘KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.'” This is no fairy tale. This is fact. It’s incredible to think about. It’s beyond exciting and each of us who calls on the name of Christ for salvation should be looking toward the sky jubilant that He is coming. As Old Testament believers looked for the day when their Messiah would come, believers today look forward to a day when Jesus will return in all His glory. How magnificent that will be! Are you ready?

Praise to LORD OF LORDS
“And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
Anyone can call themselves “lord.” Anyone can “lord” themselves over another. But no one is inherently the LORD of LORDS except our LORD. When Jesus Christ, Son of God, our Savior, comes again to earth, He won’t be coming as a baby. He’ll be leading a heavenly host army. And on His robe and on His thigh, we’ll read this name: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
You, Christ Jesus, are LORD OF LORDS. We bow in worship. We rise in praise.
LORD OF LORDS
“And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
Revelation 19:16
Anyone can call themselves “lord.” Anyone can “lord” themselves over another. But no one is inherently the LORD of LORDS except our LORD. Does that make your heart sing? Does it put a smile on your face? It should.
You, O LORD, are LORD OF LORDS. My heart sings in praise of You!
