HELP

“Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.”

Psalm 33:20

“Help is on the way.” It’s all I could think to say as I grabbed my purse and headed to the car. She needed to hear those words. She needed to know that help was on the way. The kind of tangible help we need when we’re at our wits end, when we don’t know how much more we can take. And so, God wants us to know, “Help is on the way.” We may not see it. We may not know the exact moment, but we have the full assurance that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble,” Psalm 46:1. Are you in trouble and need HELP? Are you in despair and need HELP? Are you disturbed about something and need HELP? HELP is on the way. “Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God,” Psalm 43:5.

Lord God, You are my HELP. I praise You!

  1. This reminds me that needing help is so tied to my soul. – Only the Lord can fulfill that part of me. Thank you for this!

  2. THANK YOU SO SO VERY MUCH FOR THE DAILY DEVOTIONS! I am enjoying them so much. What a way to stay in touch with our awesome God and Christian people. They start my day and to do my own personal devotions and prayers. Yes, I share them with my family and friends. Thanks and Thanks and God's Blessings for doing this.

  5. Dear Anna, Peggy, Gwen, and Irene,
    Thank you for your comments!

Irene, yes, our prayers for one another help! Absolutely.

Lord God, our Heavenly Father and Help, only You can see and reach down into Irene's heart and mind right now, and I ask that You do. Give her the help she needs to go on and to believe. Revive her spirit and in reviving it, revive her vitality. Give her energy and stamina to face what is before her. Fill her with Your joy and the peace of Your presence. Remind her that she is not alone, nor is she facing her circumstances alone, but that You are with her; the Holy Spirit abide within her. Give her rest and nourishment – physically, spiritually, and emotionally. In Jesus' name, Amen.

    Love,
    Debbie
