365 Days of Praise
D00R
“I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”
John 10:9
Have you ever wanted to get into a building and not been able to enter? Have you ever forgotten your key and been locked out of your home or car? If so, you know what it feels like to not be able to enter the place where you want to go. Our earthly frustration does’t compare with what awaits those who long for heaven but can’t enter because they have denied Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior. Today is the day of salvation. If you’ve been dallying and not entered into a relationship with God through His Son, why not repent, praise Jesus as the door, and enter today?
Lord Jesus, I praise You, the DOOR through which I enter into eternal life!

DEFENDER
“’I will defend this city to save it for My own sake and for My servant David’s sake.’”
Isaiah 37:35
Our God is a protective Lord. The word He uses when He tells David that He will defend the city for His sake and David’s, means “cover and surround.”* It may be that you are in need of someone to defend you and that which is precious to you. If so, look up. God defends that which is His for His namesake and the namesake of His servant.
Lord, I praise You for being a DEFENDER of that which is Yours!

COMMANDING
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
You shall have no other gods before Me.
You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain,”
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
Exodus 20: 1-17
You will not find a Bible verse that says, “God is commanding.” Yet, most people are more than familiar with the “Ten Commandments.” Yes, God is commanding. He is a God of authority who tells us how to live. When we live under His command, we experience life fullest joys.
Lord, You who have given us Your COMMANDS, may we not be presumptuous or live contrary to Your ways, but rather live in peace under Your commands in praise of You!

CONTENDER for HIS PEOPLE
“Thus says your Lord, the Lord, even your God Who contends for His people,‘Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of reeling,The chalice of My anger; You will never drink it again.’”
Isaiah 51:22
Would you rather have God contending – pleading a cause – for you or against you? If the answer is “for you” then as a follower of Christ, you have reason to praise! He contends for His people. That is the nature of our God.
Lord, You are the Lord God who CONTENDS for Your people, not against them. We thank You and praise You!

CONSUMING FIRE
“our God is a consuming fire.”
Hebrews 12:29
Fire consumes. It lives. It breathes. God lives. He breathes. His righteousness burns in passion consuming that in us which is dross and impurity. He calls us to Himself. And the closer we get to the fire, the more He purifies us; until in heaven we reflect His face in glory.
Lord God, You are a CONSUMING FIRE, burning in righteousness and purity. I bow in worship and praise of You!

CHRIST
“Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’”
Matthew 16:16
Jesus asked His disciples who people were saying He was. Then He asked, “But who do you say that I am?” That’s a question every one of must answer. Simon Peter replied that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God. Bingo! He got it right. Jesus praised Peter, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.” (v17). Peter grasped that Jesus wasn’t just a prophet or good man. He was the anointed Messiah who had come to save us from our sins. Today, the question remains, “Who do you say Jesus is?”
Jesus, You are the CHRIST, the SON OF THE LIVING GOD, the anointed Messiah. I praise You!
HERE is where you’ll find scriptures and worship songs in praise of Jesus Christ.
COMING KING
“To Him (Jesus Christ) who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood—and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.”
Revelation 1:5-7
Did you know that just as Christ’s first coming to earth was prophesied, so is His second? And, just as God fulfilled Christ’s first coming, so He will fulfill His second. Jesus is going to come to earth again. However, He will not come as a baby. Rather, He will arrive through the heavens and every eye will see Jesus, the COMING KING!
LORD JESUS, COMING KING, I worship and praise You!
CHOSEN ONE
“’Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations.’”
Isaiah 42:1
Do you remember as a child what it felt like to be chosen to be on a team? It meant you were good. It meant you were special. The best were chosen first. Out of all of creation, Jesus is God’s Chosen. We need look no further. He is the One in whom God’s soul delights. Jesus is the One in whom our soul delights. He is the One who will bring forth justice to the nations. Now that’s a reason to praise!
LORD JESUS, GOD’S CHOSEN ONE, I worship, praise, and delight in You!
CLOSE TO THE BROKENHEARTED
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18
Is your heart breaking today because someone has died? Is your spirit crushed because your spouse has withdrawn their love or left you for another person? Is your heart breaking because of something you’ve done and you can’t go back and make it right? Is your spirit crushed because of your child? God wants you to know that He sees your sorrows. You are not alone or without hope. He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
JESUS, Thank You for being NEAR to me when my HEART IS BREAKING. I worship and adore You!
CHOICE and PRECIOUS
“And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God.”
1 Peter 2:4
For a big, burly fisherman, the apostle Peter’s choice of words to describe Jesus are significant. It is as if Peter is trying to convey to us the high value of our Lord. He’s not to be discounted, tossed aside, or ignored. He is Choice and Precious.
LORD JESUS, You are CHOICE and PRECIOUS in the sight of God and in my sight. I worship and adore You!
